Al Dente is a kitchen clock with dual functionality. One half tells the time whilst the other half provides a mechanical clockwork timing function of up to 1 hour of elapsed time with an alarm. The design is wall mounted, robust, honest and minimal in its aesthetic, embodying very much the ‘less is more’ approach with its choice of materials and composition of components. Al Dente was designed and created together with Hugo Passos. 24 Hours was an exhibition at the Riviera creative space in Milan, curated by Jamie Wolfond Studio and Simple Flair in collaboration with La Palma Design. As of 2026, the Al Dente kitchen clock is included as part of the permanent design collection at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).
