Sam was invited to travel to Taiwan in the autumn of 2014, spending a week at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) in Taipei, running a workshop with the institutions masters design students. The design workshop focussed around a hands-on investigative theme of ‘Thinking Through Making’, exploring the vast array of tool shops, component markets and material vendors of Taipei City and bringing together found objects to create new typologies.
